A Ratpack lovechild of Surry Hills' Maybe Frank and Maybe Sammy at The Rocks is coming in February.

Sammy Junior is confirmed, headed into a site on King Street opposite Hotel CBD.

Mild mannered sandwich-serving espresso bar by day, Sammy Junior will morph into an afternoon cocktail destination with a focus on mini cocktails on tap – 2021 is sounding more promising already.

They've assembled an enviable team. George Livissianis (Chin Chin Sydney, Apollo) is doing the interior, Martin Hudak (2017 World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion) is part of the crew, and the bites come courtesy of consultant chef Robert Lechowicz (Blackwood Pantry Cronulla).

Sammy Junior's lineage is impressive, with Maybe Sammy ranking number 11 in the 2020 The World's 50 Best Bars. Maybe Frank will pull up stumps at its Surry Hills location at the end of 2020. The hunt is already on for a new site.
