Caution: expensive treats lie ahead, but some very big fish entered the dine-at-home pond this week. Pencil them into your diary for the next time you really want to treat yourself.

Minamishima x Chotto

Three of Melbourne's best Japanese chefs (Koichi Minamishima and Yoshiki Tano of Richmond's three-hat sushi-ya, and Brendan Liew, who used to run Chotto) have bringing premium seafood and wagyu sukiyaki to your isolation pad. Minamishima is creating a premium chirashizushi, a bed of rice bejewelled with Hokkaido scallops, otoro (belly tuna), prawns, and other sashimi-grade fish (pictured above). There is also premium seafood shabu shabu (Japanese hot pot) featuring king crab and abalone. You can also get a sake match from sommelier Randolph Cheung. Amaru

Clinton McIver's two-hat Armadale restaurant is another stickler for using top-quality producers and you can now get at those products either through produce boxes filled with organic vegetables, premium butters and beef, or by ordering in an unbelievable seven-piece banquet for two featuring charcuterie, bread with pumpkin seed butter, smoked eel broth with macadamia, and pork with blood orange mustard. There are even petit fours. Dinner for two is $98. amarumelbourne.com.au

Navi

Julian Hills of petite Yarraville fine diner Navi has taken a two-pronged approach to shutdown. On the weekends, Navi is one of the most sought-after bakeries in the west, selling sourdough and gluten-free breads and other baked goods as well as take-home "staff meals" such as meatballs and pizzas. From Wednesday to Saturday, Hills is offering a three-course snapshot of his tasting menu including the restaurant's signature black garlic macaron wreathed with salmon roe, a main of dry-aged duck with rotolo, and chocolate parfait with wattleseed caramel. It's a crazy deal at $70 for two. Pick up or local delivery. restaurantnavi.com.au/navihome
