Melburnians know the drill all too well. Stay at home, order takeaway from your local favourites (if you can) and throw in as many extras or tips as possible to keep these businesses afloat through yet another lockdown.

Here are some of the menus and creative one-off dishes from our chefs that you can take advantage of in your 'hood. As always, there are plenty of businesses to support. Don't treat this list as exhaustive – jump online, do your own research and direct your dollars wherever you feel they're most needed.

SOUTH

Tulum

Carlisle Street's favourite food stall is back this weekend. Tulum's team will be grilling fish streetside for its crowd favourite, Bosphorus-inspired fish sangas, plus there will be boreks galore and crunchy, chewy simit bread. The fun starts on Friday at 10am and runs until 2pm or sold out. Same again on Saturday.

217 Carlisle Street, Balaclava

Atticatessen

As if there weren't enough surprises going around, Ben Shewry and co have created another Attica offshoot. Atticatessen is like the lunch bar of your dreams, with six different salads starring Ramarro Farm greens, spicy kale and more, and two hot dishes to choose from: a marron and XO fried rice, and bolognese with focaccia. The cheesecake returns for the party, too, plus Davidson plum jam drops and other sweets. The deli kicks off on Friday, running 3pm to 7pm, and returns Saturday, noon to 7pm.

Comma's bagel pop-up

The Comma team's bagel off-shoot, Tuckshop, isn't ready just yet but they're using Lockdown 5.0 as another chance to pop on their training wheels, offering five bagels plus snacks and drinks at the restaurant. New fillings include the banh mi-inspired pork belly with pâté, pickles, coriander and hoisin, and an Angus beef cheeseburger bagel. Open 10am-2pm, Saturday and Sunday.

All the favourites are available for takeaway this weekend, plus kid-friendly pasta, 500ml bottled cocktails and wine. Order for pick-up or, if you're within 7km of South Yarra, delivery is available. Order online.

Available from noon to 4pm, Friday to Sunday.

Mister Bianco & The Italian Job

Melbourne's best-named delivery outfit, The Italian Job, is getting the Minis back out on the street this Friday and Saturday to deliver a ready-to-heat menu of kingfish cured in Campari, cavatelli pasta with duck and mushroom ragu, and slow-cooked beef cheeks on polenta.

Hemingway's Wine Room

Date night at home is sorted with Hemingway's menu for two. In fact, you could probably get two date-nights out of the Moveable Feast. Start with half a dozen oysters, move on to roasted quail, followed by fish of the day and lamb shank with roasted root vegetables. Bursting yet? Dessert is pecan pie. Available Friday and Saturday.
