Good Food regulars received the early tip Merivale had lodged plans for a bar sibling for Felix restaurant as well a Lebanese-leaning modern Middle Eastern eatery with chef Simon Zalloua at the helm.
But as is often the case with Justin Hemmes, there's more. And we're not talking a set of steak knives.
The hospitality scion has grand plans in and around his Ivy complex beyond Little Felix, which will launch in July.
In a new site on George Street opposite Wynyard Station, Zalloua's bar and mezze-plate offering (with its own takeaway) will be in good company.
Mike Eggert will front an Italian bar inspired by Merivale's Bondi hit, Totti's.
In a wide-ranging interview regarding his city plans, Justin Hemmes talks with Good Food's Callan Boys. And wait, there's still more. A Merivale-backed Mexican eatery will also join the CBD precinct.
