When Israeli chef Michael Rantissi closed Kepos & Co in February, he argued it would give him more time to focus on sister venue Kepos Street Kitchen and take on a new project mid-year.

True to his word, Rantissi has revealed he'll open a pop-up at North Bondi Fish on June 30. The winter residency, North Bondi Kepos, is a collaboration with North Bondi Fish team and its co-owner, Matt Moran. It will dish up Rantissi's signature dishes overlooking Sydney's most famous beach.

The restaurant is coming to the party creatively, combining North Bondi Kepos' mezze, raw and grilled food with a modern Israeli cocktail list.

The line-up includes a cocktail made with fig puree and homemade grenadine, served from a ceramic teapot, and the "Bergabomb" – a flaming shot of Arak dropped into a beer.

Breakfast and brunch at weekends are also part of the plans.
