Even in a city seemingly littered with new burgers, a $40 debutant gets attention in Sydney.

Its creator, consultant chef Danny Russo from Russolini, debuts the scampi burger at a new venue opening this week.

"It has three scampi in it," Russo explains.

The scampi burger is on the opening menu (with popcorn Cloudy Bay clams) at Cook with Costi, a casual eatery located in a new surf 'n' turf shop at Broadway Sydney.

Steve Costi's Seafood and Craig Cook The Natural Butcher have opened the joint shop together, with Cook with Costi selling cooked product from both.

"We are both family-run companies which care about where we source our produce and what we supply to our customers, so creating an on-site casual restaurant where people can enjoy both our quality meat and their fresh fish is just perfect," Craig Cook says.

Design outfit Tom Mark Henry has crafted a space rich in stone and timber.
