The restaurateur with one of the biggest collection of harbourside venues in Sydney is at it again. Bill Drakopoulos has snapped up Ventuno restaurant at Walsh Bay.

Drakopoulos confirmed he'll get the keys to the Walsh Bay stalwart before the end of the month. The short-term plan is to do very little.

"It'll be trading as normal. We're getting a stylist in to freshen it up, but there's such a beautiful feel to those wharfs at Walsh Bay," he says.

"And we're keeping the Ventuno name," Drakopoulos adds.

The smart restaurant, which prides itself as equal parts pizzeria, birreria and enoteca, will fit in nicely with Drakopoulos' collection of venues through his Sydney Restaurant Group, which already includes Ripples venues stretching around the harbour, The Fenwick in Balmain, The Nielsen at Vaucluse and Ormeggio at The Spit.
