Richmond's Union Dining to close in February

The good pals and gun hospitality duo behind Richmond's hatted Union Dining, chef Nicky Riemer and manager Adam Cash, have decided to go out on a high. They will close the European-style bistro and rooftop terrace on February 4.

Cash explains that after a great end of year, "we had been in the process of bringing in a new business partner and were looking to a new chapter, but negotiations didn't come to fruition. Nicky and I saw the opportunity to forge ahead, or finish up knowing where we stood". They chose the latter.

According to Cash, he and Riemer have no immediate plans, but would like to stay around Richmond, and will potentially be looking for a new site.

"We feel so lucky to have seen this area develop over the last six years and have had incredibly loyal customers," says Cash, and they plan to spend the next four weeks having fun.

Union Dining will continue lunch and dinner service from Tuesday to Saturday until February 4. There will also be a final Sunday lunch on January 29th. Get in while you can.
