Love authentic Mexican food but find the ingredients difficult to source? Rosa Cienfuegos shares your frustration.

Cienfuegos, who operated a restaurant in the inner west before seguing into Mexican pop-ups, opened a Mexican food shop in Dulwich Hill, on Sunday, September 16, for Mexican expats and the plain Mexican food curious.

"There are only about 3000 Mexicans in Sydney. They are all over the place; I want them to come to me," she says.

Tamaleria & Mexican Deli swung into 463 Marrickville Road, Dulwich Hill.

"We pretty much have all the ingredients you can't buy unless you're a restaurant," she says.

"We'll also sell pastries and cakes, and the sweet bread Mexicans eat in the afternoon or with a coffee at night.

"We won't have a menu, but I might get a pie warmer and sell some hot tamales," she says.

Open Tue-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat-Sun 8am-5pm.
