The Cookie Monster's verdict on Australian biscuits

I was lucky enough to spend time hanging out with bona-fide Sesame Street legend Cookie Monster this week. Cookie has been in Australia for the past fortnight discovering the magic of cruffins, exploring Melbourne's street art and hanging out with native animals at Taronga Zoo: "Me got a selfie with a quokka. You haven't lived until you've had a quokka selfie, trust me."

We talked about many things ahead of Sesame Street Series 46 – the blue guy was most excited to hear that free cookies are available at the Red Cross blood donor service – but I thought it was important to grab Cookie's thoughts on some of our favourite Australian biscuits. After all, there's no better cookie and biscuit critic in the world, right?

Turns out Anzac biscuits get the big thumbs up, Tim Tams are pretty good too, but Scotch Finger biscuits aren't worth the slightest nibble. And don't get him started on the smell of Vegemite.

The 46th season of Sesame Street with Cookie Monster premieres on April 3 with The Cookie Thief special, followed by new episodes every weekday morning on ABC Kids at 9am and noon.
