Thought you were off the hook with Mother's Day this year? There's no excuse, with some of Sydney's best restaurants and food stores bringing the Mother's Day party to you this year.

The Lennox Hastie-fronted Firedoor restaurant, in Surry Hills, has a Mother's Day brunch box for sale at its "Fireshop", with a selection including handmade burrata, native citrus jam and potato cakes ($165).

Chef Luke Mangan has a $75pp Mother's Day dining box you can pick up from Luke's Kitchen in Waterloo (or delivered to select areas for $15). You can even tap Mangan's video tutorial walking you through how to prepare the meal.

Pomelo Online, a clever COVID-19 pivot from the team at Sydney's Bowery Lane and caterer Pomelo + Co, has a $179 Mother's Day roast dinner box, which will feed up to five people. It sounds delicious, with braised lamb shoulder with pomegranate molasses and sides, as well as a cheeseboard, baked berry cheesecake and bottle of sparkling pinot noir.

Merivale at Home is in on the action with its excellent meal deals from a stable of restaurants purring with pedigree. You can also nab some flowers from Merivale outlet Palings, a bottle of champagne or, wait for it, a margarita kit.

You can also pre-order a meal from Bentley at Home.

Kepos to Go has chef shakshuka boxes ($49), felafel breakfast ($69) and lamb shoulder lunch ($79) from the kitchen of talented chef Michael Rantissi.

The boys at Three Blue Ducks have bespoke hampers and lunch and dinner meals. You can even super-size Ducks' style, with the $35 "mum and dad" wine and beer package.
