The tuck shop rumours are true: Golden Gaytime ice-cream is now available in tub form.

Whether Australia's latest innovation in ice-creamery is the frosted fruit of an independent Facebook campaign by a devoted fan, or a year's worth of planning from Streets marketing arm is no longer relevant.

There's only one question that needs to be asked now: does the Golden Gaytime ice-cream in a tub taste as good as the original?

Good Food tracked down a few litres with a bit of effort (the first few stockists contacted were already sold out) and whipped the spoon around the office for a video taste test.
