Brunches, lunches, dinners and family feasts are on all over Sydney this long weekend. Get amongst it.

Kensington Street Social

Jason Atherton's restaurant is putting on a grand spread known as the 'Easter Brunch Feast', a hearty (hardly brunch) three-course share menu. It includes a roast with all the trimmings partnered with crisp roast potatoes and fresh salad, followed by cheeses and dessert. Bring your hungry face.

Open: Fri 14th-Mon 17th, 11.30am-3.30pm.

Cost: Easter Brunch Feast $80 per person; regular brunch menu also available (if you can't do without bacon and eggs).

Ormeggio at the Spit

Spend Good Friday evening at Ormeggio who are offering a six-course seafood degustation special. That means paprika chips, trout tartare, charcoal scampi and more.

Cost: $145 seafood degustation, no a la carte available/regular menu Saturday and Sunday plus 15 per cent public holiday surcharge.

D'Albora Marinas, Spit Road, Mosman

Pasta Emilia

For a traditional Italian Easter, Pasta Emilia is putting on a Sunday lunch that will make it feel like you're in Rome.

Cost: Set menu $85 per person, additional $33 per person for three glasses of matching wines.

Alpha

Celebrate "Pascha" aka Orthodox Easter at Alpha Restaurant with a traditional midnight feast at 12.30am on Sun 16th. The supper will include traditional Greek dishes like mayeritsa lamb shank, tsoureki Easter bread and red dyed eggs by Chef Peter Conistis. All net proceeds will be donated to the soup kitchen at the Greek Orthodox Parish of Saints Constantine and Helen, Newtown.

If you can't make it at midnight, be sure to try Alpha's baklava muffins ($5) loaded with roast walnuts, hazelnuts, baked in filo pastry and drizzled with spiced honey syrup.

Cost: $100pp, $60 for pensioners and children under 15, children under five eat for free.

This northern beaches newbie is holding an Early Bird Egg Hunt on Sunday 16th. From 5pm children can participate in the egg hunt while parents can enjoy a complimentary Aperol Spirtz or Peroni. Bookings are essential.

Manly Wharf hotel

Kick off the Easter long weekend with a Good Friday seafood barbecue and an open salad bar at Manly Wharf Hotel. Continue festivities through to Easter Sunday with DJ Cut Snake and local DJs.

The Old Clare Hotel

The celebrated pub has collaborated with Kakawa Chocolates for Easter Monday offering an an interactive chocolate workshop, including a tempering demonstration, bean-to-bar talk, tastings and DIY truffles. To top it off, they're including a complimentary drink from their beverage menu.

While the kids are busy with the Easter Bunny, from 2.30pm on Sunday parents can enjoy grown up chocolate (read: chocolate cocktails!) with Mozart chocolate creme liqueur, butterscotch schnapps, vanilla vodka, Kahlua and fresh cream topped with chocolate sauce and a Cadbury chocolate flake.

Reynold Poernomo (ex-MasterChef dessert maestro) has created a particularly gorgeous, gold Easter egg and a nest of chocolate full of surprises. If you're going to eat chocolate, it might as well be the good stuff, right?

Stock up for an Easter feast this long weekend with the Sydney Fish Markets extended trading hours on Good Friday, the market's busiest day of the year. The Easter bunny will also make on appearance from 11am to 2pm.

Come for the Chinese food and stay for the limited edition 'Easter Garden' dessert, served as an edible pot plant with layers of sponge cake and ice-cream. Crushed Oreos become pot plant dirt, there's green coconut grass, plus Easter eggs and a Lindt chocolate bunny.

If you find yourself northwest of Sydney, Blue Wren winery in Mudgee is a must. This Easter long weekend chef's kitchen will be showcasing a five-course tasting meu.
