East-side yum cha lovers, sharpen your chopsticks, Zilver is moving into the former Kam Fook site in Westfield Bondi Junction.

The Cantonese restaurant will move into the shopping centre in September-October, offering both a daily yum cha service and an la carte menu. Plus those expansive views.

Co-owner Jessie Xiao says the menu will be similar to the current Zilver's in Chinatown, with some new items as well.

"We're also going to incorporate northern flavours, which are more spicy and pungent," she says.

The new site will also include a bar and lounge area with Asian-influenced cocktails.

"It's a bit less serious", she says of the Bondi outlet

But rest assured, things won't have changed that much – fish roe will remain sprinkled atop the siu mai.
