It's been empty for a while, but the former Tosolini's site at Bailey's Corner has been given new life with a new all-day eatery.

Fittingly, it's called All Day, and as the name suggests, they serve up meals from breakfast through to dinner, and everything in between.

After running restaurants in Athens, owner James Hume and his partner moved to Canberra about five months ago, looking to open a similar venture.

The space takes over what was previously Social & Co, which closed early 2017. It has been given a green lick of paint and some new furnishings. Once construction finishes on the footpath outside, there will also be outdoor seating under the tree.

All-Day keeps things casual - you order at the till. The menu has a bit of everything - for breakfast it's the basic usual suspects, then there are four salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and fish and chips, through to grilled salmon and a sirloin, plus a short kids menu.

But you're not restricted to settle in for a full meal - snacks, drinks, and desserts are available all day. Drinks range from coffees to beers (they have Pact Brewing Co on tap) and a short wine list which includes a rose from Greece - a nod to their former venue.

All-day. Bailey's Corner, 143 London Circuit, Civic. Open Mon to Fri 8am-8pm, and Sat 11am-8pm.
