It doesn't get much closer to the beach action than this. You can feel the ocean breeze, hear the waves rolling in and practically touch the sand if you were to stretch out a toe. Service is brisk and business-like, the food simple bistro style. The best spot for breakfast is the small outdoor deck space but for lunch move inside away from the sun's glare. Dinner can be a boisterous affair, with young families enjoying a holiday dining out experience. Try the generously proportioned pear, beetroot, baby spinach and sheep's fetta fattouche salad or smoked cod cakes with pea and chervil puree with bacon vinaigrette. Mains include a caramelised pork belly on roasted sweet potato; tender and hearty, while the creme brulee with macadamia biscotti and rose-infused rhubarb is a silky, delicately flavoured dessert. There's a decent wine list but staff can be cautious when asked to offer wine matches.
