Sweet tooths and pastry fans will be excited to hear Japanese puff pastry treat, PAFU, is launching on December 16th with their own store in Melbourne's QV.

Described as the Japanese version of the French apple turnover pie, PAFU pastries are made with Pink Fuji apples combined with a creamy vanilla custard filling. And they're expected to sell like, err, hot cakes.

The PAFU pastry will cost $4.20 and will be filled with half a locally sourced apple per pastry. So it's nearly one of your five and two a day, right?
