Indian

Aashiana's long menu begins with a preamble and the promise of painstaking detail in the cooking, and you'll taste it in the spicy sauces - they're a highlight. Indian background music, red tablecloths and starched white napkins create a cosy atmosphere. The kitchen produces all the hits from the subcontinent, plus a few surprises, including creamy chicken stuffed with cottage cheese, sultanas and chicken mince, and rum-marinated lamb cutlets (on the sizzling tandoori platter). A 'vegetarian galore' section offers more than 20 options. Note the minimum spend (from $10 for kids), although cheap BYO keeps costs down.
