Antalya

Turkish$$

Antalya is all you could ask for in a family-friendly Turkish restaurant. There's the clean, casual interior done up with kitschy knick-knacks, the friendly husband-and-wife team of Gulten and Levent Bagdas, and the family recipes that evoke the flavours of the eastern Med. Full-flavoured dips such as vibrant beetroot and garlicky hummus come with thick house-made bread, while starters of stewed red kidney beans (barbunya) and chilli-flecked potato with parsley and red onion salad are soul-satisfying. There's pizza (the Antalya special is a charry parcel of sucuk sausage, mince and spinach), meat from the grill (marinated chicken skewers, lamb cutlets), and vegetarian choices, too.
