Cafe Gaia

Modern Australian$$

Install yourself in the leafy courtyard, or on comfy window stools to soak up Gaia's effortless chic. Polished boards, French pop art and newspapers aplenty create a relaxed feel, and unruffled staff add to the Zen. The menu is small and studded with flash ingredients. Try poached eggs with pork belly- soft, salty and yielding- with potato and rosemary roesti and wash it down with a bloody mary that doesn't hold back. On the sweeter side try blueberry and ricotta pancakes with maple syrup, candied pistachios and Persian fairy floss. It's piadinas at lunch.
