For 20 years Ginger Garlic has zinged with atmosphere, created by its enthusiastic owners, Ashok and Ritu. Each year they conduct culinary tours to India, often with local customers as their guests, and their restaurant has maintained a lively feel with its theatrical sizzler plates fizzing their way to tables. The excellent food is in the Northern style - rich, tender lamb offset by capsicum, meltingly soft chickpeas, or comfort-food potato-and-nut balls. On Wednesday nights you can try GG's version of Balti cuisine - improvising with ingredients to make dishes such as grilled lamb ribs tossed in a coconut-based sauce with tomato, spring onion and coriander.
