Ici

The cramped quarters, dark wood-panelling, low amber lighting and casual glide of cyclists past its generous windows only add to Ici's appeal. Its relaxed feel is influenced by its residential Fitzroy surrounds. Then there's the excellent food: the kedgeree curry is a cacophony of flavour- the bite of coriander, the tang of lemon, smoky trout pieces- pulled together with a dollop of yoghurt. The three-egg omelette is an unfussy but deeply satisfying affair made with spring onion, spinach, Greek sausage and spiced with mustard seeds and a hint of chilli. Is Ici, is good.
