Ici

Contemporary$$

On a residential corner in a leafy Fitzroy street, this little bluestone cave is a sophisticated cross between a French bistro and a Chinese tea-house. Behind a high wooden counter the red La Marzocco pumps out a rich, sweet brew from its single origin beans. For those who prefer their brews milky, it's hard to go past a cappuccino or hot chocolate topped with slivers of dark Lindt. Ici's service is as laidback as the food is lavish, like its renowned porridge with spiced blueberries, yoghurt, halva and pistachios. There are vegetarian options aplenty try scrambled tofu and white beans with beetroot relish.
