Little Deer Tracks

Vegetarian/Vegan

Marco Sellitto has travelled a circuitous route via some of Melbourne's best-loved cafes before establishing his own. Vintage flourishes include copper lights and retro telephone tables, and, for the kids, there are a few toys and pencils for colouring-in. The vibe is generally upbeat, the staff are good, and the Italian-style menu is confidently all vegetarian. Crusty high-topped black-bean pies are a signature, and baked beans come ladled onto house-made organic sourdough. Zucchini fritters are herbed with mint and dill, while cinnamon doughnuts are accompanied by a syrupy red wine sauce. The good word is sounding through the 'burg like a train horn.
