This Livingroom has it - and it's well-loved by locals, despite service being at times a little too relaxed (forgotten items, longish lapses between courses). Rambling charmingly across three rooms (a little bit of leadlight here, a chandelier there), Livingroom offers an approachable yet sophisticated menu. You might start by sampling goat's cheese and basil croquettes, or scallops on cauliflower sauce with prune and caper puree. Mains, such as a lamb duo - slow-cooked shoulder in pastry with peas and a single cutlet - or, perhaps, a special of pork rib-eye with crackling, or rich gnocchi with artichokes and asiago, are quite modest in size. That means there's space for luscious Callebaut chocolate mousse.
