Cafe

Anyone who loves a fresh, crusty sourdough (courtesy of pastry chef Michael James) will go weak at the knees when they step into MoVida's much anticipated, buzzy little bakery cafe. It's the aroma that hits you - not cake-sweet but rustic, floury, savoury, toasty. Staff are relaxed and personable, despite peeling queues of people hungry for a handsome spelt loaf or a pork and fennel sausage roll. Lavazza coffee ($3.50) is brewed dark and tangy, the perfect foil to a salted caramel doughnut and best enjoyed on the casual deck outside. Get in early for a taste of Frank Camorra's bakery collaboration with pastry chef Michael James: pork and fennel sausage rolls and salted caramel doughnuts are drawing crowds. Lavazza coffee backs it up.
