There's no cocktail list at Mr Wilkinson, just a drink of the week, such as the Fresca, made with Mount Gay rum, pineapple juice, lime, mint and sugar. That sums up the attitude of the place: don't try to do everything, but do what you do well. The same mindset is there in the handbag hooks under the bar, the simple but well-chosen bar snacks (olives, pate, toasted sandwiches), Kirin (and only Kirin) on tap, and the way the barman puts your bottle of wine in a bucket without being asked. Originally a knitting mill, the bar retains a hint of the past in the use of recycled materials and industria references.
