Cafe

This long, thin little cafe has powers beyond its size. Carefully made coffee (a bespoke Seven Seeds blend) is consistently rich and smooth, and the small menu is an enticing mix of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. Olive toast with shanklish (a feta-like cheese), tomato and mint has the right mix of saltiness and zing. The zaatar pizza comes with a generous spoonful of yoghurt-like labna, a creamy foil for the spice. Breakfast baked eggs, with chorizo and feta, for example, often sell out, so get in early. Service is exceptionally warm and has guaranteed this simply designed place a loyal following.
