Pizza Religion

Italian$$

It's a broad church, the Church of Pizza, embracing worshippers of thin, thick and yes, even stuffed crusts. Pizza Religion, a small single-fronter on a sleepy stretch, is of the crisp-and-creative denomination. Couples, friends and families congregate around a communal table, grab a pew in the covered courtyard (warmed in cooler weather by gas heaters), or dash in and out bearing takeaways. A few entrees (including serviceable fried calamari with rocket and fennel), salads and simple desserts augment thin discs topped with ingredients such as grilled zucchini, chilli, ricotta and mint, or chorizo, prawns, chipotle sauce and jalapenos.
