Stuart McKenzie's vast warehouse in Collingwood's hip heartland sure draws the crowds, and it's ace all year round with a bluestone courtyard up front and a log-fire ringed by squishy sofas down the back. It's a wonder the staff can keep the enormous space under control, but they carry it off with panache. Coffee Supreme is served up in velvety dollops with a buttery mouthfeel giving way to bright lemon sparks. The menu is full of cafe classics: Bircher muesli with fresh fruit and vanilla yoghurt; brioche French toast with poached pears and a twist of Jock's vanilla icecream; pulled pork and apple coleslaw on a pide; or a tofu and rice noodle salad.
