Nymboida Coaching Station Inn

Good Food hat15/20

The menu here (the pub is owned by Russell Crowe and filled with items from his films) is simple but the young and helpful chef covers all bases. The entree lamb kofta balls come with house-made tzatziki and are beautifully moist. Twice-cooked pork belly has an evenly crisp layer of delicious crackling and caramelised apples cooked so they are jammy but still hold their shape. House-made laksa paste gives the full-bodied soup massive flavour and it's packed with king prawns, chicken and tofu. Cauliflower puree and grilled asparagus spears round out the meal. Sadly, a creme caramel dessert was slightly burnt and eggy.
