Rosso Pomodoro

Italian

Judging by the popularity of this pizzeria tucked into a high-density neighbourhood, no one’s the slightest bit fazed by ‘the rules’ (such as no half and half, no ham and pineapple). They’re here for authentic pizza studded with traditional toppings such as fresh Italian mozzarella, prosciutto, salami, basil and rocket, cooked on the stone to lightly charred, chewy perfection. Besides the starters and salads, there’s a separate menu of prosciuttos and cheeses sold by weight. Sweet tooths up for a challenge can tackle a trio of desserts - tiramisu, panna cotta and gelato - in which the artisanal gelato shines brightest.
