The beer garden of this traditional country pub overlooking the peaceful hills of Tarana is lively and packed with locals. A substantial menu includes steaks, burgers, seafood, chicken dishes, salads, snacks and other standard pub fare, as well as daily specials and desserts. The meals are tasty and generous and the kitchen is rightly proud of their rainbow-coloured - pineapple, watermelon, pasta and crisp vegetable - side salads. The staff exude (a little rushed) country congeniality. Be sure to ask for the $2 gravy or your steak might be delivered dry. Gluten-free bread and soy milk are available on request.
