The Carrington

Contemporary$$

A new look for an old pub is a recipe for success right now, and this beautiful little corner boozer is no exception. A makeover by the team behind Duke, the Abercrombie and the nearby Norfolk is pulling serious crowds to the front bar with its very zeitgeisty snack menu (sliders, spicy fries, Cuban sandwiches) and lending equal attention to the hacienda-meets-bordello styled eatery out the back. From warm olives and cured kingfish on fried bread, glorious bull's tail empanadas and sweet-sour anchovies with eggplant through to terrific pork skewers and morcilla-stuffed squid, it's an exuberant, Latin-inspired feast. (Stay sensible if you want to keep to the Everyday Eats budget, though!)
