This drinking hole has had one of the most impressive rebirths in a town where pubs and their nosh have become king in recent years. Headed by ex-St John London chef Jamie Thomas, it's dishing up Basque bar-come-dude food as the perfect accompaniment to a beer-swilling and sangria-slurping attitude. Think calamari sliders, prawn and chorizo sandwiches and must-have jalapeno and smoked cheddar croquettes. Meals get big too like beef cheek in Pedro Ximenez, but if an evening fix isn't your thing they're now doing one of the most diverse and scrummy brekkie menus in the city.
