Town Green Inn

12.5/20

Modern Australian$$$

This busy pub feels more like an informal restaurant with a bar. Between dining times the bright and airy front section is a good enough place to drink, but when the kitchen's running it fills with diners, and if you don't book you can wind up sitting in one of the daggy, viewless and mood-crushing upper or rear areas. When there's no meeter-and-greeter your frustration rises chasing down staff who are remarkably good at avoiding eye contact and zipping away. The menu is better than the execution, with a delicious-sounding vegetarian pizza relatively sparse in its toppings.
