Victoria Hotel

There's something agreeable about curry in cold weather, and the Victoria Hotel has a good selection (Indian lamb, Sri Lankan chicken and fish are some of the specials). But if you're not a curry fan the menu entices with the usual pub fare: risotto, pasta and even halal chicken. An entree of plump garlic prawns is richly textured with tomato, wine, garlic and chilli, the flavours intertwined perfectly. The pub has a decent, mainly Aussie wine list, a small outdoor area, free Wi-Fi, pokies, TVs, a pool table. What else do you need? If it's dessert, that's the one thing you won't find here.
