This airy, boisterous upstairs room overlooking Apollo Bay, with its faintly Arabic decor, is one of the Great Ocean Road's best spots to sample local produce - much of it from the owners' Otway farm and truffiere. You might kick off with a salad of seasonal greens, pickled baby beets, green beans, walnuts, local blue cheese and truffle honey dressing. Follow with home-grown lamb slow-roasted with figs, onion, confit garlic and cinnamon - deliciously unctuous. A local fisherman stocks the daily specials board, say silver dory or trumpeter baked with chermoula on fragrant cous cous, or spicy school prawns sizzling in sherry. The signature paella is another seafood bounty - for two. Finish with 'Truffle Farm flower bed': geranium-scented icecream, lavender meringue, rosewater lokum, blueberry marshmallow and freesia jelly - all sprinkled with bee pollen. The queues down the stairs in high season are testimony to the quality here.
