This little basement sandwich bar is quite hard to find - so how come so many damn people find it every lunchtime? The Calima coffee ($3) is satisfyingly rich and walnutty, but it's all really about Marc and Marcella's fabulous, good-value, take-away sambos, soups and salads. Our favourite food blogger Lee Tran Lam of The Unbearable Lightness of Being Hungry (and cafe reviewer for Tuesday's Good Living pages), says the 'over-stuffed mega-sandwiches' here are crazy-big, and could lead to lockjaw. She has a special place in her heart (and tummy) for their seasonal vegetable sandwich, stuffed with potato salad, eggplant, sweet potato and more.
