Mie Kocok Bandung

Indonesian

You’ll find food adventures galore between the yellow exterior and the persimmon pink kitchen here. It’s tiny, noisy, packed with Indonesian families and has an intriguing regional menu you’ll need help with from friendly staff. Must-have is the gudek komplit, curious but delicious sweet and savoury steamed chicken, jackfruit and tofu in coconut cream; and bandeng presto, deep-fried soft-bone milk fish. The mie panorama is a good beginner noodle - egg noodles with barbecued pork, steamed chicken or fried chicken wonton. There are durian and avocado drinks, but it’s hard to pass up luscious young coconut. Return visits will be rewarded.
