Minimo

Cafe

It's a few blocks north of Brunswick's hipster zone, but what this cafe lacks in cred it makes up for in affability. From the warm greetings and sizeable communal table to the stacks of magazines and large windows overlooking the Brunswick tram depot, Minimo is all big-hearted homeliness. The barista may be as humble as Minimo's famous shepherd's pie, but he extracts a full-flavoured, nutty espresso from Atomica beans. Hollandaise poached eggs with potato roesti and smoked salmon is a decadent match, and when you spy the syrupy home-made cakes you'll be glad you left your skinny jeans at home.
