By day, the leafy courtyard is a welcome respite from the CBD hustle. After dark, candlelight transforms the outdoor area into a pretty, intimate setting that's elegantly casual. A concise menu reflects chef Javier Codina's versatility, meandering happily between Catalan, French and Italian classics. Sommelier Francoise Le Saveant is as genial as he is knowledgeable and other wait staff might come off as merely efficient in comparison. Entrameses (appetisers) can be ordered individually or as a share plate that might include tiny school prawns or a generous slab of velvety duck liver parfait with house-made ciabatta alongside delicate rose water mackerel ceviche. Whether it's pate, wagyu beef or churros with Valhrona sauce, high-quality produce is the common element in every dish. The paella is a big, beautifully fragrant rustic dish for two, brimming with fresh local seafood.
