With three Pope Joan-related businesses now in close proximity, the clever folks behind this cruisy cafe seem to be taking over this industrial stretch of no man's land, and that can only be a good thing. Allpress coffee, perfectly extracted and rich with strong spice and chocolate notes, is just one of many good reasons to visit Pope Joan. The vegie garden and covered courtyard is another, but it's Matt Wilkinson's menu of substantial sandwiches including the Cuban, a juicy combo of pulled pork, pickles and cheese, creamy rice pudding or retro baked beans that keeps the customers coming.
