Weekly meal planner: Mood-boosting foods

This week is all about feel-good foods rich in iron, omega-3 fatty acids, complex carbohydrates to feed your gut and ingredients such as beef, chicken, fruit, nuts and dairy, which are high in a chemical called tyrosine that helps boost the release of dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and emotional rewards. Foods with a low-glycaemic index release energy slowly, keeping your blood sugar and mood stable, too. Plus chocolate – in moderation, of course!
