Chinese$$

The exotic name adds to the allure, but what does Uyghur mean? Order the smoky kebab skewers, fried dumplings and handmade noodle stir-fries and you'll be too engrossed to ask. With sunny yellow walls, fake flowers and friendly service, it's hard not to pull out the cheap and cheerful cliche, particularly when there's free corkage. But the food is anything but predictable - fried paramash are like a meat-lover's doughnut, while egg and leek stir-fry is light and silky. In case you're still wondering, Uyghur (also Uighur, Uigur or Uygur) refers to the Turkic people of Eastern and Central Asia. Gotta love fusion.
