Compared to a breakfast of Malaysian nasi lemak, with its steamed rice, tender beef rendang, aromatic chicken curry, boiled egg and a heap of other accompaniments, a plate of humble bacon and eggs seems rather unglamorous. Channel a more exotic dining experience at Temasek, with the full complement of authentic dishes from the Straits, such as slippery char kway teow, rich laksa and one of the best examples of Hainanese chicken rice in Sydney. There's one of the usual brusque Asian dining service: cheerful staff are eager to please, even while juggling plates.
