Malaysian$$

It's been a few decades since they first opened, but age has not wearied this Parramatta stalwart, which draws punters from far and wide. They come for fine Malaysian fare, right down to the ice kacang; the mound of shaved ice covered with sugar syrup and sweet beans makes a fun, super-refreshing end to the meal. Before that, try juicy crumbed prawn cutlets, rich laksa, exemplary Hainanese chicken rice, and chicken and potato curry. The latter has a rich coconut flavour and gentle, lingering heat. Service is amiable given the frequently full-house.
