The Little French Deli

French

Like a culinary Tales of the Unexpected, the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Little French Deli sits on a scrappy patch of the Nepean Highway. But inside this tiny, rustic spot it’s all duck rillettes, Serge Gainsbourg, secret backyard dining and more French charm than you can poke a baguette at. Food is simple, home-made fare. Plats du jour include a daily pie, interesting salads and a terrine, cheese or rillettes platter. The cabinet holds lovely sandwiches, savoury tarts and filled croissants, as well as the prettiest house-made raspberry tarts and featheriest millefeuilles. There are French groceries to take home and plans for expansion into casual evenings.
