Upstairs here you'll find a stylish outdoor beer garden and restaurant. A tasty dish of salt-and-pepper prawns - plump, fresh, perfectly battered in a spicy coating - kicked off proceedings and came with a generous rocket and parmesan salad. Tuscan pork and truffle sausages nestled on a generous dollop of creamy mash with caramelised onion and red wine jus were a surprise hit. The menu is an eclectic mix that includes pizzas, the ubiquitous chicken parmigiana and dishes out of left field such as smoky pork ribs. Lots to explore here, in other words. The desserts change daily (always a good sign).
