This may have been a knockabout country pub once, but no longer: book early or miss out. The hotel is split into an upmarket restaurant, Graze, and a bistro, The Grain Store, but the lavish restaurant menu is available in the cheap seats too. A local grazier has taken charge and installed a hanging room for the local Colly Creek beef, so you can watch your steak age through the window. Perhaps the best steak we've had in a while and still in pub price range. Fancy chimichurri sauce was a hit. Lamb shanks and pork belly were out, so a steaming kingfish curry sorted us.
